About Me

Fayne Ansley was born and raised in Atlanta. She attended the Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Connecticut, graduated from Harvard University in 1997 with a degree in History and holds an MFA from Columbia University.

Fayne has studied Botanical Watercolor at the New York Horticultural Society, the New York Botanical Garden and the English Gardening School in London. She taught art at Camp Merrie-Woode in Sapphire, North Carolina, for many years, as well as at the Bascom Center in Highlands, North Carolina. She lives and works in New York City.
